Here's a quick refresher on the rules.
1.) You pick one team per week to win (a tie does not count as a win).
2.) You may not pick the same team twice.
3.) Everybody gets one 'mulligan.' This means that if you pick a losing team, you're not out of the pool. However, after you pick a second losing team, you are eliminated from the pool.
4.) All picks MUST be submitted at least one day prior to game time. For example -- if the game you are picking is Sunday or Monday Night, your pick must be submitted on Saturday. If the game you are picking is on Thursday Night, your pick must be submitted by Wednesday.
5.) Repeat: All picks MUST be submitted at least one day prior to game time. It takes time to organize all of the picks for the weekly e-mails and website updates. Not submitting your pick on time means that you're delaying the entire pool from receiving everyone's picks. This also means that Greg and I will spend our Sunday morning waiting by the phone and computer -- and we don't want that.
6.) All picks must be e-mailed to brodheadpool@gmail.com.
7.) Prizes will be broken up into 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The pot will be split up 80/15/5.
8.) The entry fee is $20. You may have more than one entry.
9.) In the event of a tie, the prize positions will be decided by your Points Tiebreaker. Your Points Tiebreaker is the margin of victory/defeat for the teams that you have picked. For example if you pick the Patriots in Week 1 and they win by 7...you are +7.
10.) There is usually a secondary pool that opens up by about Week 10 for everyone that's been eliminated. So if you are eliminated and you still need your gambling fix -- we got you.
Prior to every game day you will receive an e-mail with all of the week's picks. They will be attached as a PDF and available on the website. The website will be updated as games become final.
